Hi all. I calibrated my HDTV (Sony 50A2000) using DVE, and noticed
something funny with the black levels. After calibrating blacks using
that pattern with the three stripes on either side of the picture, I
happened to look at the greyscale ramp -- that pattern with a dozen
shades of grey, going from white to black. And I noticed that the
last three bars of black had all become one block of black. Is that
correct calibrating? Or should I be able to distinguish each of the
dozen or so bars? If I do that, it would negate the first pattern.
Which is correct?

thanks!
