Which of these would you recommend? I've googled them for reviews and
found some, but want even MORE opinions.

The newest models are the best bargains around.

Do you want analog sound converted to cable so it goes thru your HDMI cable?
This is a feature that breaks down by model.
Same thing with upconverting analog vhs to digital to go thru the HDMI cable
to the TV. Check ONkyo's site and cnet's reviews.
