Hello, I need some help with my receiver, I was listening to a cd on my PS2
connected by an optical cable at a pretty low level not even half way up,
then all of the sudden it flashed something like Overload and turned off,
now whenever I turn it on it flashes "AMP ERR" and shuts off. Can someone
please tell me what happened and what I am going to have to do to get it
working again? thank you very much for your reply.

It still says AMP ERROR while having at all by it's self with nothing
connected to it. I checked inside and none of the fuses look blown, is there
maybe a reset button I can press?

I would check to see if you have any speaker wire strands touching eachother
(like between channels or red and black). This would cause a short and do
the sort of thing you are talking about.

Have you tried unplugging it from the AC for about a 1/2 hour yet (not just
turning it off by the remote because that is just standby mode)?
