I have a problem concerning the set up of my receiver using component
video cables and I'm not sure if it's a problem with how I'm setting
it up or if it's a problem with the hardware itself. Now I have an HD-
DVR, Explorer 8300HDC, set to the Component Input 2 and the audio set
to Video 1. I have no problems with this. I can view and hear from
this component no problem. In the Component Input 1, I have a PS3
whose audio is set up to the video 2 input. The PS3 is mapped to the
Video 2 selection on the front console and the settings are set up so
that the Input -> Component = Input1 and the Input -> Video = Video 2.
Unfortunately, I cannot see anything when I switch to the Video 2
selection. I can hear the playstation but I see nothing but a green
screen. I tried switching the component cables around so that the HD-
DVR was in component 1 and the PS3 was in the component 2 slot (I
changed the mappings accordingly) with the same results. I could still
see and hear the cable television but could only hear the playstation
3. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Derek
