I have my computer with all my music connected to my home theater
system. I have an LG 47" LCD and I sit about 15' away. I would like
an application that allowes me to select music from the couch and
while it is playing be able to see the artist, song, album info.
Anybody know of a good app for this?

Jim

B's player is not bad, you can get it cheap or free.
sony gave it away with CD and DVD drives.
you title your own unless it's a newer version
with the titles already on it, but it will do what you want.
you can make song lists and libraries with it.
you can also use winamp, but instability has been reported.
I'm sure there must be several others.

Haven't heard of an instability issue with Winamp since maybe v.01

Winamp [winamp.com] is my favorite, although I really like the looks of
iTunes and its album cover selection. [I'm sure you've seen the iPhone
commercial. Too sexy for words, that. *Especially* in full screen mode!]

My only complaint with iTunes [besides being basically proprietary] is
it has a tendency to 'skip' when running as a background task.

Notice mykey's continued obsession with all things Sony though, as well
as recommending a completely oddball player and stuck in the past
mentality. I'm surprised he isn't talking about whether or not it's
compatible with Windows 3.1.

Never had a problem with Wimamp, MusicMatch may still be a decent choice
too, not sure it's even still around though. Personally I use iTunes, it
seems to be pretty bug free on WinXP, though I hear it had issues with
Vista in the past. I tend to dislike Apple products but it works well,
is convenient, and syncs to my iPod so it became my default player. Love
the ability to make "smart" playlists using iTunes.

G-Force makes a stunningly good visualization program that integrates
nicely with iTunes, it even displays album artwork and song/album info
in the corner of the screen when the song changes. Very cool graphics.
