Broke everything apart this last weekend again.
I'm a tinkering MoFo when I get on a project. LOLOL

Replaced the woofers with new High End Pioneer
Butyl Rubber Surround 12" woofers with 56oz magnets.

And added bracing above AND below the woofers.
Used 1/5in dowels and Gorilla Glue. Really, really
stiffened the cabinets.
(Next will be Dayton Crossovers for the Morel Silk Dome
Tweeters and the Morel Mids)

Found a Denon AVR-2803 STILL IN THE BOX on Craig's List
right here in Pensacola. And got if for a amazing bargain. The guy
wanted HDMI switching for his new flat panel. So he didn't
even install it. Going to set it up this weekend and test out
the new woofers and cabinet bracing. Should really thump!

Now that I have a 6.1 DTS/DD/ProLogicII receiver, I will bring in my
old 12in. Velodyne Servo sub in from the Florida room
and integrate it into the system.

Should sound great for a system made up from discarded components,
bargain finds and driver repairs. Smile

WTF is digital clipping?
When the processed bit goes to 1.5?

Ditto.

Before my band experience though, as a kid my first exposure to true
thump was a pair of Klipschorns driven by a Crown DC300.

Not sure I've ever heard anything like that since.

I carted around backbreaking OAP Folded 18" subs and a rack of Peavy
CS800s for years..... Ugggghhh!
LOLOLOL

Added my Velodyne sub to the system/cabinet by removing the doors and
shelving.
Not optimal having it sit on the cabinet structure, but I isolated my CD
transport the best I could with
foam.
